Families choose a kindergarten for the learning, relationships and care their children experience every day. Independent assessment under the National Quality Framework confirmed that Appletree Hill meets that bar at the highest published level.
We are rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS) in all seven quality areas — a result we have held since 2013, including our most recent assessment.
What that means for your child
- Educational program — play-based learning planned by qualified educators, guided by children’s interests.
- Relationships — children are known, respected and supported to belong.
- Health, safety and environment — safe, well-maintained spaces for indoor and outdoor play.
- Partnerships with families — a parent-run association works alongside staff for the centre’s future.
Exceeding means assessors found practice that goes beyond the standard requirements — not that we are a government office. Daily life here is still driven by our educators and community.
About the National Quality Standard
The NQS is Australia’s national benchmark for education and care. Services are assessed by the state regulatory authority and receive a rating for each quality area, plus an overall rating.
An overall rating of Exceeding NQS is given when a service goes above and beyond the NQS in at least four of the seven quality areas (and meets other requirements set out in the National Quality Framework).
The framework is overseen nationally by ACECQA. Families can also explore Starting Blocks.
