Joining Appletree Hill means joining a community kindergarten: play-based learning with qualified educators, and a parent association that helps run the centre. We offer sessional 3- and 4-year-old Free Kinder programs in Glen Waverley.
Places are not allocated by the preschool office. Applications go through Monash City Council’s Central Enrolment scheme — the same pathway used by most sessional kinders in Monash.
How to apply
- Lodge your application by 30 June in the year before your child starts preschool.
- Submit the required documentation with the application.
- List up to three kindergarten preferences.

Letters of offer
Offers are emailed by Monash City Council from late July in the year before attendance (and may be followed by an SMS). Families must accept or reject by the date given.
After you accept
When Council notifies us of your acceptance, we send a Welcome Pack with forms to complete for Appletree Hill.
Your child can only receive kindergarten funding at one service — you will need to nominate Appletree Hill if that is where they will attend.
Withdrawing
Families who withdraw during the year must give at least one term’s notice.
